ABOUT US


The International Doctoral Program in Mathematics at Tbilisi State University was developed in 2017 as international collaboration effort of the program board members from Tbilisi State University and University of Goettingen. The development of the program was supported by Volkswagen Foundation.

Topics featured in the program include algebraic topology, Fourier analysis, numerical analysis, partial differential equations, stochastic analysis and financial mathematics.

Implementation phase of the doctoral program is jointly supported by Volkswagen Foundation and Rustaveli National Science Foundation, Project: "International doctoral programme in mathematics at Tbilisi State University "

Doctoral program runs in close collaboration with international partners. Doctoral students are expected to be guided by supervision committee with at least one supervisor from Tbilisi State University and one supervisor from abroad.

The program is open for Georgian and international students.

Regular summer schools organized by the doctoral program is open for graduate students and postdoctoral researchers from the Caucasus region and interested participants from other regions are also welcome.
